Yoink vs Tegaro
Tegaro is better if clipboard history belongs beside other daily tools. Yoink is stronger for temporary file shelves.
Yoink gives you a shelf at the screen edge for holding files while you drag them between apps. Here is how it compares with Tegaro's clipboard history and screenshot tools.

Yoink and Tegaro both help you move things between apps, but in different ways. Yoink is a shelf at the edge of your screen that holds files, text and images while you drag them. Tegaro's Clipboard keeps a history of the text and images you copy, lets you paste recent items with ⌘1–9 and searches inside screenshots. Tegaro does not have a drag shelf.
OCR inside copied images
Search can find recognised words inside copied screenshots.
One-step quick paste
The first nine recent items can be pasted with Command-1 through Command-9.
Opt-in local history
Clipboard history starts only after you enable it.

Privacy and footprint
Tegaro runs its core typing, clipboard and downloaded-model dictation workflows locally. AI usage may query Claude or Codex providers using existing authentication; licensing checks, downloads, updates and opted-in email have separate network behaviour. Review each product’s privacy documentation for the feature you use.
Native macOS app built with Swift.
Core typing, copied-content and downloaded-model dictation workflows stay local. Licensing, optional renewal lookups, model downloads, opted-in diagnostics and direct AI-provider checks are separate network actions. AI Usage uses existing provider sign-in and does not send provider credentials to Tegaro.

Frequently asked questions
Can Tegaro act as a temporary drag-and-drop shelf like Yoink?
No. Tegaro has no edge shelf. Instead of dragging an item to the screen edge, you copy it and paste it later from Clipboard history with ⌘1–9.
How is Tegaro's Clipboard different from Yoink?
Yoink holds files and images on a shelf while you drag them. Tegaro's Clipboard keeps a history of copied text and images and can search for words inside screenshots.
Will Tegaro interfere with my existing drag-and-drop habits in macOS?
No. Tegaro lives in the menu bar and does not change how dragging works in macOS.
