CleanMyMac vs Tegaro
Tegaro is better if storage insight and focused cleanup are enough. CleanMyMac is stronger for its wider maintenance suite.
CleanMyMac is a well-known suite for cleaning and maintaining a Mac. Here is how it compares with Tegaro's Disk, Power and Displays tools.

CleanMyMac and Tegaro overlap on disk space and Mac health, but CleanMyMac goes much further on cleaning. CleanMyMac finds junk files, removes apps and scans for malware. Tegaro has a Disk tool that shows what uses your space (free) and offers cleanup and a careful app remover (Pro). Its Power tool shows battery charge, charging wattage, battery health, cycle count, temperature and CPU, memory and disk load, and Displays adds brightness, resolution and a Dock copy on every screen, in one menu-bar icon with clipboard, screenshots and dictation.
Free storage analysis
Disk analysis remains available after the trial.
Pro targeted cleanup
Disk cleanup is a Pro capability when you need it.
Same icon as other tools
Storage information lives with Tegaro’s other modules.

Privacy and footprint
Tegaro runs its core typing, clipboard and downloaded-model dictation workflows locally. AI usage may query Claude or Codex providers using existing authentication; licensing checks, downloads, updates and opted-in email have separate network behaviour. Review each product’s privacy documentation for the feature you use.
Native macOS app built with Swift.
Core typing, copied-content and downloaded-model dictation workflows stay local. Licensing, optional renewal lookups, model downloads, opted-in diagnostics and direct AI-provider checks are separate network actions. AI Usage uses existing provider sign-in and does not send provider credentials to Tegaro.
